About Us

I started working on Voting Buddy about ten years ago. At the time, I felt that the political discourse was becoming pretty antagonistic -- and with all of the bickering and attacks, it was hard for me to discern ground truth. So I actually developed Voting Buddy for myself . . . to have an objective way to define where I stood on the issues, and to be able to objectively compare myself with Politicians and my friends. I always found Voting Buddy to be most useful during the primaries — when there are two … three … and in some cases, ten or more politicians with similar ideologies vying for the same candidacy. Voting Buddy has always been an effective tool in helping me “split hairs” to distinguish between politicians with similar perspectives.

Nowadays, because the political discourse has grown even worse, and all of my friends who have tried Voting Buddy found it to be helpful, I have decided to make Voting Buddy available more broadly. People seem to like Voting Buddy because it is short (5 questions, around 10 minutes), accurate, and objective. Try Voting Buddy for yourself and let me know what you think.
